Meet the New President and Owner of Motion Publishing

I am pleased to announce that Courtney R. Logan (author of the acclaimed Motion book Shaped by Fire) is the new president of Motion Publishing. Let’s congratulate him. I am confident that he will continue to do exciting things with progressive authors and carry on the work of the company.

About Mr. Logan

Mr. Logan is the City Manager for the City of East St. Louis, IL. He is licensed to practice before the Supreme Court of Missouri and the Supreme Court of Illinois. Before stepping away from the practice of law he focused his practice in litigation including premises liability, commercial litigation, personal injury, workers’ compensation, wrongful death, product liability, and professional negligence. Mr. Logan is a former Prosecutor who has first and second chaired multiple jury trials.

Currently, Mr. Logan serves as an Assistant Adjunct Professor at Saint Louis University School of Law teaching trial advocacy and is President for the Board of Directors for New Yu Youth Movement. Recently, he was elected by his peers to represent St. Louis’ young lawyers on the Missouri Bar’s Young Lawyers Section Council. He was named by the St. Louis Business Journal to the Class of 2015 30 Under 30 and to The Black Lawyer’s Class of 2016 Top 40 Under 40.

I am confident that Courtney will continue to do exciting things with progressive authors.

Mr. Logan is a member of the American Bar Association, The Missouri Bar, Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, the Mound City Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, and the St. Clair County Bar Association.
